In a society ruled by image, it becomes very difficult to love yourself, inside and out, especially as an eighteen year old girl. We are being told constantly that we are not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, sexy enough, just enough. On the flip side, if we make one mistake, we are labeled as slut, whore, the b-word, and so many other things. We live in a world that expects us to be perfect, though perfection can never truly be reached.

As a girl who has been told/called some of these things, it hurts. Words are the most dangerous weapons that exist. These words are the weapons of society. We are taught at a young age by magazines, television, music, peers, and in some cases, even parents that we are supposed to uphold these impossible standards.
